    for CHROME
I like Pro tools, Logic, Propellerhead too!

I use my Chromebook. It's a handy, straight forward machine.
Just perfect when you want to use it for the Webz. However..
Without apps you can´t evenwrite a textfile. It's a real internet hub machine.
And I don't like the idea of always connecting my data to the internet by apps that read my data online, when I just want it to be on my laptop. And Nowhere else..

So I made a file "contenteditable", threw a dumb border round it, now I got a memo pad!
It's nothing but a big textfield.
like a notepad without notepad maybe, but it works.

  • It has no meaning other than to easily note some stuff, organize text or stick some images
For a chromebook it's a quick and safe way cuz you are offline.
  • For a quick note or idea.

  • Open the html file in your browser and start typing..
You can make that page a favorite. This way you you can write down your short notes in no-time.

    or even faster:

    data:text/html, <html contenteditable>

*might not work for other browsers

A simple but very handy trick.

Put this in your browser bar and you have your notepad ready!
Both ways you can´t save text, unless you can save the file as a flat .txt file.
But.. You can also Select the text and print it. Then you don´t print but save it like a PDF file or so.
IE and Mozilla should not have problems with that option.
  • Yup, It´s easy!

  • An easy way to type your ideas or message on a screen in your chromebook
    without having a text editor.

You can simply change values.
Open the html file in a texteditor and Play with it!
Than save the file back again as a HTML file. Everybody can make this handy minifile. It's easy.
