Ingredients |
1/2 (28 ounce) can stewed tomatoes |
1/2 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
1/2 pound lean ground vegetarian beef |
2 yellow onions, chopped |
1 green bell peppers, chopped |
1 tablespoon chopped parsley |
1/2 cup of boiled soup vegetables (optional) |
2-1/2 cloves garlic, chopped |
1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil |
1 tablespoon white sugar |
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano |
salt and pepper to taste |
HOW TO MAKE: |

Blend the stewed tomatoes and crushed tomatoes in a blender. In a stock pot or large kettle, brown the ground vegetarian beef with the onions, peppers, parsley, garlic. Pour in tomatoes, soup vegetables (optional) and reduce heat. Add sugar, basil and oregano, and simmer about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper before serving. Enjoy! |
