Kung fu balls

Ingredients

1 lbs ground vegetarian beef
1/2 green bell pepper, minced
4 scallions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg white

more:

1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup sweet and sour sauce
1/8 cup unsweetened applesauce
salt & pepper
HOW TO MAKE


HOW TO MAKE:
Serves 3-4 pers.

Preheat oven to 375 and spray a jelly roll pan with cooking spray.

STEP 2:
In a medium bowl, lightly combine vegetarian beef, pepper,salt, scallions, chopped celery,bread crumbs, egg white and soy sauce. Shape into 9-12 little balls. Bake until cooked through and browned, about 15 minutes.

STEP 3:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine sweet and sour sauce with applesauce. Microwave on high until hot and bubbly (about 2 minutes). Stir the vegetarian meatballs into the sauce and serve hot.
Serve with french fries or chinese noodles.
